This is a tale of my life as a military wife and mom.

Alien Parents from the Planet Zelf
One of the many joys of being a parent is tormenting your children. Even better is when you can tagteam against them. The end result can be one of two things. The first being your child simply ignores you and life goes on. Or your child devolves into a major temper tantrum because they are far crankier than you realized when you began said torment. In our world we are fortunate enough to experience both sides of the coin.
Captain SAM tends to ignore us for the most part, unless it involves tickling. I'm really waiting for him to begin with the eye-rolling and such. Padawan Nic, on the other hand, tends toward the more dramatic responses.
The other day, for example, he kept hollering for us. "Mommy! Daddy!" We responded with the typical, "What?" or "Yes, Nic?" He would make whatever comment he had or ask his question and go back about his business for another five minutes until he yelled for us again. After about ten questions, I responded with "I'm sorry, I'm not your mommy. I'm actually an alien from the planet Zelf. I am here to learn about you human children." SGT Daddy went along with it and we had great fun.
For some reason Padawan did not like this response and the dramatics started. They ended with him in his room screaming about not liking me. I've tried to explain to him it is our job to torment him. He seems to not agree. And to think we haven't even hit the preteen years.

Calling HH6, Come in HH6
I feel that a brief introduction is necessary. We have four members of our little family. There is Sergeant Daddy, Jedi Padawan and Lego Master Nic, Captain SAM the Monkey Pirate, and myself. I have many titles, including Jedi Master, Pirate Queen, and most importantly, Head of Household 6. But that's Mom for you. Now that you know the main characters, on with the entertainment.

In the Beginning
I am starting this blog as a way to to watch events unfold. As a family we are about to experience many changes to our happy little world. It should prove to be an exciting time for us filled with the unknown. Hopefully all changes will be good. But with as all change it will take some time to adjust. So feel free to join us on our journey!
